 Kidoodles™
owner, Diane Kahanowitz, had an idea to fill an easily duplicated market
niche that could be rolled out nationally as a cart concept—an idea of
featuring adorable hand-painted children’s gifts and accessories for every
kid’s room. After researching the feasibility of her concept and much
planning, Mrs. Kahanowitz opened the first Kidoodles™ store in 2001 in the
Steamtown Mall, Scranton, Pennsylvania, where it continues to operate
today. With over 20 years experience in the retail industry, Mrs.
Kahanowitz has created a shopping environment that truly entertains with a
personal touch.

unique, playful designs to compliment individual tastes of all ages but
also a quality product at affordable prices.
Nationally recognized, Mrs. Kahanowitz ’s store design won the
prestigious award for Design of Excellence Award in 2002 by Specialty
Retail Reports Fifth Annual Visual Victories Awards Program. Mrs.
Kahanowitz and Kidoodles™ is involved in the International Council of
Shopping Centers and a member of the local Scranton Chamber of Commerce as
well as numerous local children's organizations and local charitable
organizations.
 2002
was a year of tremendous growth for Kidoodles. Our cart program rolled out
several extremely successful cart concepts in regional shopping centers
